About us

We are delighted to announce the upcoming event, WBIO 2024: I Workshop on Applied Biosensing, which will take place from June 3rd to 6th, 2024 in Joinville, Santa Catarina, the largest city in the state. The event will be held on the campus of the Center for Technological Sciences at UDESC in Joinville.

This workshop is part of a comprehensive project focused on the development of optical and electronic biosensors. It is being coordinated by biomedical engineering researchers from UDESC, under the leadership of Professor Pedro Bertemes Filho.

The event will feature numerous invited international participants and is being funded by FAPESC. Its main objective is to disseminate the work developed in the region, integrate researchers, and mobilize students involved in related research in the area of virus detection and similar fields.
