I International Workshop on Applied Biosensing
Women in Sensors 2024
Welcome to WBIO 2024
The development of new materials, different and diminutive wearable measurement systems, and the advancement of artificial intelligence are the key factors that have propelled the widespread use of biosensors. The main objective of this workshop is to provide a unique environment for researchers to discuss and exchange experiences in all areas of the industrial and academic biosensor chain. WBIO 2024 is an international FREE forum to discuss the future perspectives of biosensors and their applications in the medical, pharmaceutical, and food industries, based on their applications in Biomedical and Computational Engineering, Medical Physics, Medicine, Environment, Biology, and Chemistry. Lectures, tutorials, full papers, expanded abstracts and posters will be part of the event. Full papers are invited to be sent the Journal of Physics: Conference Series from IOP.
Welcome to WiSe 2024
It is with great pleasure that we extend a warm welcome to each one of you to the “Women in Sensors” event, running alongside the “International Workshop on Applied Biosensing” on June 5th, 2024. This event serves as a platform for celebrating and recognizing the pivotal role of women in the field of sensor technology and biosensing applications. As we gather at this event, we unite in our shared passion for innovation, diversity, and collaboration. Throughout the day, we have an exciting lineup of 4 lectures, 1 mini-course (register here), oral and poster presentations, and networking opportunities designed to foster meaningful conversations, inspire new ideas, and promote connections. From exploring the latest advancements in sensor technology to discussing the societal impact of biosensing applications, our agenda promises to be both enlightening and enriching. We are particularly proud to highlight the contributions of women in this rapidly evolving field; whose expertise and ingenuity continue to drive progress and shape the future of sensor technologies. The presence of each one at the “Women in Sensors” event reflects not only your commitment to excellence but also your dedication to promoting inclusivity and diversity in STEM. As we embark on this journey together, let us seize this opportunity to learn from one another, exchange insights, and empower the next generation of leaders in sensor technology and biosensing. Once again, a heartfelt welcome to all attendees, whose discussions inspire us to push the boundaries of innovation and pave the way for a brighter, more inclusive future.
